1. Overview

This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains the terms under which you may cancel a booked service with Wall Designer Pvt. Ltd. ("Wall Designer," "we," "us," or "our") and the conditions for receiving a refund. We aim to be fair and transparent in all cancellation and refund matters.

2. Cancellation Before Work Begins

2.1 Before On-Site Consultation

If you cancel your inquiry or booking before our team has visited your property for the on-site consultation:

  • Cancellation is completely free with no charges.
  • No advance payment is collected at the inquiry stage, so no refund is applicable.
  • Simply inform us via WhatsApp, phone, or email that you wish to cancel.

2.2 After Consultation but Before Work Starts

If you have received a quote and paid the advance booking amount, but work has not yet started:

  • Cancel within 48 hours of paying the advance: Full refund of the advance amount, no questions asked.
  • Cancel after 48 hours but before work starts: Refund of the advance amount minus a ₹500 consultation and scheduling fee to cover our on-site visit and administrative costs.

Note: If materials have already been purchased specifically for your project (custom paint colours, wallpaper, etc.), the cost of non-returnable materials will be deducted from the refund. We will provide proof of purchase for any such deductions.

3. Cancellation After Work Has Started

Once our team has begun work at your property, cancellation terms are based on the stage of completion:

  • Less than 25% complete: You will be charged for the work completed so far (materials used + labour for the completed portion). The remaining advance, if any, will be refunded after deducting these charges.
  • 25% to 50% complete: You will be charged for all work completed, materials used, and a 10% early termination fee on the total quoted amount. Any excess advance will be refunded; any deficit must be paid.
  • More than 50% complete: No refund is available. You will be required to pay for the full work completed up to the point of cancellation, including materials and labour. The remaining quoted balance for unfinished work will not be charged.

In all cases, our project supervisor will document the work completed with photos and provide a written breakdown of charges.

4. Cancellation by Wall Designer

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel or reschedule a booking due to:

  • Extreme weather conditions making the work unsafe or impractical
  • Team member health or safety emergencies
  • Unforeseen property conditions that make the project undeliverable as quoted (e.g., severe structural issues discovered during work)
  • Material supply chain disruptions beyond our control

If we cancel a booking:

  • You will receive a full refund of any advance paid, processed within 7-10 business days.
  • If work was partially completed, you will only be charged for the work already done (no early termination fee from our side).
  • We will make every effort to reschedule rather than cancel outright.

5. How to Cancel

To cancel a booking, contact us through any of the following channels:

Please provide your name, phone number, and booking details when requesting a cancellation. We will confirm the cancellation and applicable charges (if any) within 24 hours.

6. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days from the date of cancellation confirmation.
  • Refunds will be made to the same payment method used for the original advance payment (bank transfer, UPI, etc.).
  • If the original payment method is unavailable, we will arrange an alternative refund method after verification.
  • You will receive a confirmation message or email once the refund has been initiated.

7. Rescheduling

If you need to change the date of your booked service rather than cancel:

  • Rescheduling is free if requested at least 48 hours before the scheduled start date.
  • Rescheduling within 48 hours of the start date may incur a ₹300 rescheduling fee to cover team reallocation costs.
  • We will accommodate rescheduling requests based on team availability. If the new requested date is not available, we will offer the nearest available dates.
